MEDICAL MISSIONS:

 

INCREASING the international and national investment in child health and health systems is essential.

 

Through our own primary medical goals, we partner and affiliate with networks across the continent. Our direct presence has spanned across 3 countries and helped over 3,000 under-served communities with surgeries, infections, vaccinations, pain relief, disease treatment, water,education, medical, and healthy living education.

 

 

 

 627,000 deaths caused by
malaria in 2012.

1,500,000 people living with HIV, it's estimated that 200,000 are Children.

Rotary Club North Kampala

SEPTEMBER 2013

 Rotary Club Kampala North partnered with Riley Children's Hospital and Uganda Heart Institute in Mulago Hospital. The team of traveling doctors operated on 18 children with heart condition and provided care for several hundred patients.

We would like to say Thank You to everyone involved in saving the lives of these children which otherwise would not have lived much longer.

Mulago, Uganda’s general Hospital is overwhelmed by the increasing number of heart related disease being reported.

Putting the blame on lifestyles, poor diets, smoking and genetic causes. 
This community continues to need assistance.

APRIL 2013

Penny and Sebunya over the course of a month(April 2013), headed a team of medical doctors to East Africa treated over 3,000 patients in Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya.

 

Thank You to all our supporters, donors and volunteers. The medical team lead by Dr. Hanson Wang, Director of Missions for Friends of Grace were able to cover three countries during their visit to East Africa on a medical mission trip.

 

Uganda, Rwanda and Kenyan citizen, were excited to recieve

 free medical services. Thank you Dr, Wang and the team who made it posiible.

Currently, 7.2 percent of Uganda’s population is living with HIV. This amounts to an estimated 1.4 million people, which includes 190,000 children.

An estimated 62,000 people died from AIDS in 2011 and 1.1 million children have been orphaned by Uganda's devastating epidemic
